Default Brand new wheels shaking

I just got my Exel tz-7 with toyo fz4's from wheelmax.com. I put them on and when i hit about 40-45 or so they shake like they are unbalenced. I called them and told them and they tried telling me that i need to get some HUB CENTRIC RINGS so the wheel sits on the hub perfectly enter. I have never heard of these things. Can you all tell me if this is bull **** or i do you think i should have the balencing checked.

I always thought the seller of the wheels should provide the rings if they are needed. I think they vary by rim. Regardless, I would ask wheelmax to send me the part.

the place you bought them from should supply them, theyre only a couple of $$ for four, they are needed in all aftermarket wheels, as the hub center varies in size from car to car, so they make it larger to accomodate all hub sizes and therefore you require wheel spacers/rings so they sit snugly on the hub. Ring them and demand them, or at least an explanation to why they didnt see fit to at least tell you to fit spacers before fitting the wheels....********!

hm.. my friend recently had the same problem.. wheelmax had pretty good reputation, so i recommended to him, but after he got 18" racing hart evo rims with kumho 225/40/z18 tires, the car was shaking a bit. he balanced it like 3 times, but still there's minimal shaking... i couldn't tell whether rims are defect from manufacturer or something else.. if what they saying is true, i should inform my friend also..

the hub rings really shouldnt matter, my wheels came with plastic rings, and after having the alignment done and a couple other things that required the wheels to be removed and put back on 3 of them had already broken to pieces..........now I dont have any on and there's no shaking at all. As long as your wheel is secured good it shouldnt matter...
