need driver door for 92 civic dx. other years/models compatible?
I need to replace my driver's side door on a 92 dx. I wonder if a different year, or another variation of the civic (cx, etc.) would have the same door. That would make it easier to find one at my local u-pull-it junkyard. Mine is a 2-door hatchback (3-door, whatever you call it) with power nothing.
Also, what is involved in changing the outer door lock , so I can use my old one (that fits the key on my chain) when I get the other door on the car? When I took my inner panel off, I could see the lock, but it was hard to tell what was holding it in place.

North Carolina. Near Chapel Hill.
I found a door from a 94 2-door coupe. Not the right color, and have to put my old window in it.
I figured out the lock. Just a little clip holding it in there.

There was an accident involving my Civic. It has been "totaled" although I'm still driving it. Someone's insurance paid, now I'm scrounging for some cheap parts... The door was the worst part. It wouldn't open from the outside latch, the mirror was all over me, and it looked pretty bad.
I don't think I need a door anymore, but I might need a door bracket or 2. At least one of my brackets was bent in the wreck, and I straightened it out the best I could with a hammer. But It's still not quite right; I couldn't get the mounting screws all the way in the door. And if you've got fenders, especially red, I might want them!
