make sure you tighten everything down and dont knock your engine out of time hondas are zero tolerance motors and you will break stuff.... make sure u tighten ur timing belt nice and tight or u will get whats called belt slap i had a similar issue with my d16y8 and it kills the life of your timing belt

Water pump, timing belt, tensioner, and valve cover gasket. While you are there you could look at both the cam seal (behind cam gear) and front main seal (oil pump). As far as Hondas being zero tollerance that's untrue and you will not destroy your motor if it's off a tooth. However it will run badly. Just make sure everything is at tdc when you start and finish. Rotate motor over by hand and check for any binding. Then recheck alignment and make sure it's all in time still.

Check Ebay. look for DCHonda, they have the timing belt, water pump, drive belts, and gaskets. Pretty good price too. The tensoner can be bought from the also, but you don't always have to replace it.

While your in there inspect the cam seal, and the front main! If there is any hiny of a oil leak, replace them now!

A word of advice, remove the crank pulley bolt before you take the car apart. They are a pain in the ***.

I bought a kit from rockauto.com (timing belt, tensioner, water pump)

Here's some DIY's I had saved:

Getting a Haynes manual would help so much too; and downloading the OEM PDF service manual might as well.
