Default everyone says no....im thinkin yes

ok, here's the deal, im running eagle rods, j.e. 8.5:1 pistons, 450cc dsm injectors, with a stage 2 revhard kit in a ls motor. i have my stock single core radiator. no headwork done. i have a safc and plan on running the hack. people here are telling me that there is no way i am going to be able to run more than 6lbs of boost. can anyone that has close to the same setup tell me what kinds of boost they are running or can someone tell me what i would have to do to run about 14 lbs of boost? thanks
dave

hmm theres no reason you cant run 14psi on that, ive seen people use fmu to make 350hp before..

i know a guy running 20 on a stock ls motor, but hes got hondata..

hack doesn't work past 10 psi... dont use the hack.. i'd only use it for a small setup like 6 or 7 psi.

is the problem with not enough fuel past 12 psi..or 10, whatever it is? and would a hondata system fix that problem, also, would you recommend bigger injectors for taht?

hondata would let you get rid of the afc and tune with it.. teh reason you cant go past 12 is because the map will go past its voltage limit and it will trip the cel and throw a map sensor code i belive..

so you're sure its 12 psi? and is anyone running a single core radiator with a turbo? tell me how its workin for you

welll i have been told by people using the afc hack that htey can go to 12 but anything more will trigger the cel

Those injectors should be good up to 15+psi. THe hondata will definetly let you boost more. THe stock honda map sensor will only go to 12psi, just buy a gm sensor and you can run 20+!

Not that I know of. Why would you want to run a stock ecu with 12psi??

http://www.angelfire.com/ab7/diymaplimiter

Works on the same principle as the AFC hack or the SMC, $21 Paypal, shipped. You can use it with a 3 bar but let me know that is what you intend to do.

Easy... four wires, tap the MAP sensor +5 volt supply wire, tap the MAP sensor ground wire, cut the signal wire and attach the MAP sensor end to input, ECU end to output.

Whoa wait a second here. Give me some more tech. info about this strange thing you are building. How does it work? What exactly does it do? How much boost can you run? Can you still use an AFC to add and subtract fuel or what does this thing do.

It scales down the MAP sensor voltage just like the AFC does, so you can run larger injectors and boost.

so you can basically do a voltage clamp on the map and still use your afc to rich/lean out your fuel system without havngto worry aobut it???? what is the max voltage the sensor can see before it throws the cel??

The voltage clamp is for when you want to electronically limit your MAP signal instead of running check valves or a missing link, that's circuit #1, circuit number #2 applies a correction function to the MAP sensor voltage of the form:
f(x) = mx +b where x is the original MAP voltage and f(x) is the corrected MAP voltage.

How much boost can you run with this?

The stock MAP sensor can only see 11 psi. I suppose if you switched to a 3 bar you could run higher.
