oil
i do not put that weight in v6's i have noticed that that weight in v6 gets dirty faster and thinner that's y i said he said v6 not a 4 cylinder i always go with 10-30w it stays cleaner longer and better for bigger engines. the hotter the engine the thinner the oil gets
To be honest, you can use ether 5w-30 or 10w-30. Really depends on your climate. If you live in an area that sees cold winter climates, 10w30 isn't the best.
5w-30 is the manufacturers preferred choice due to it's wider oil viscosity range in operating temperatures. The two are basically the same oil except that 10w30 is not for cold weather. If you live in a tropical/warm climate then 10w30 can be used
