in the beginning stages of performing a mini me swap.i pulled a z6 head that had no dizzy my b7 head currently has a dizzy i would like to know if i set both heads at tdc and then swapped it over would the timing be same, would it damage anything, these are both obd1 please help this is the only thing im stumped on for this swap
No dizzy timing depends on how its bolted down not the way the dizzy keyway is positioned with the cam. If that dizzy will fit on that head, which i'm not sure if it will you need to put it on and set the ignition timing with a timing gun

thanks much guys found this out after actually using the search bar.lol another just stupid *** question i have a 93 del sol s at the passenger side strut tower there is a harness connector. these del sol supposedly have vtec prewired in the harness from that connector back to the ecu is this true if so what goes connected where we have the green and yellow from the solenoid and the blue wire from the pressure switch and the ground(the ground is self explanatory)

also guys what do you think of p.s delete is it worth it and i see alot of write ups but nothing really straight foward and step by step
i've done it. its really very straight foward.
remove pump, lines, some of the p.s. fluid(want some still in there), buy a new high pressure hose(10-18in), put the new fittings for the hose in, screw on hose, use a flywheel bolt for the third hole, done.
you can buy some that have a breather option available.
its a little tougher then a non ps car but nothing horrible.
its really up to you. i like being able to feel the road like you can without p.s. but it can make parking and slow moving turns kind of a pain.

ok guys so i started the mini project today. pretty much just unbolting stuff and pulling hoses and what not and finally got the head and the d15b7 head gasket looked horrible, half of it was on the block and the other half on the head. deff gonna use a steel had gasket it is so much better than having to clean up all that gunk from the head gasket i will keep updating on this project no work tomorrow so deff gonna get ripping on this project
You can do it that way, or do it the right way and swap the rack and subframe out for a '92 - '95 Civic CX/VX unit. An actual manual rack requires less effort than a looped power rack.

yes that is true when i do a swap which i intend on doing within the next year or so i will do that but i have buddies that have done this loop system and it has worked fine for them.but you make a lot of sense a manual rack is intended for a certain purpose where as a p/s rack is intended for another which doesnt include not using a pump but having that pump gone makes the bay look so much nicer

ok so turns out that assuming when the number 1 piston was all the way up was tdc was the wrong thing to do u have to go by timing marks even though its not stupid to assume tdc would be #1 all the way up so i got it started now . now did anyone runs into having an extra cooling hose also the car runs but doesnt feel all there and it idles really low now like 500 rpms

yea i wired it correctly it could be kicking in but its only a sohc so i cant expect much, and i know i should convert the ecu as of now i have code 19 which is the lock up solenoid for the auto trans , but the ringz are fried on the b7 bottom so i am buying a ls swap from my buddy all i need is a ls hydro trans and other odds and end ie new clutch fluids sparks all that stuff
