Default D16z6 dizzy doesn't fit my d16z6 block ?

So I have a 1998 Honda Civic with a d16z6 . recently motor was rebuilt but doesn't start after the rebuilt. People told me it could be the dizzy or my timing. I bought a dizzy from a d16z6 swap but the bolts don't fit my head right . the dizzy I had before was for a d16y7 & it fit right in but no start . Please Help !!

if a y7 distributor fit AND the head is vtec, it is a y8 or y5 head. could be anything from timing to incorrect rebuild specs, MUCH more info is needed on your end

So does that mean my head is different ? Cause my block says d16z6 & I took a dizzy off a d16z6 but still doesn't line up the bolts .

Yea that means the head is not a z6 head. The z6 is similar to the y8 so if the head was either it would bolt right up.

As the block is easy to identify maybe post a picture of the head and i'm pretty sure it could be identified quickly

look for the head code, it's on the head facing the front bumper if U see the code reading Po8 that's the z6 head code.
