If an automatic honda civic 4 speed slips in reverse or doesnt move i doubt the 4th gear would engage and from 4th not engaging properly or slips it wont reverse either because 4th and reverse use the same clutch.

4th fear ratio 0.738
Rear gear ratio 1.954

those two gears must be combined for a reverse ratio 2.692
