Looking for some help had the car at the track last night made 2 passes everything seemed fine. Then coming down the return road put it in first and the car kind of bucked then went. After that 1st started acting up seemed like if I put it in first let the clutch out once it was fine but if I pushed clutch in and let it out it would kick it out of first. Odd part was the shifter would stay in the first gear spot but u could feel that it was like half way out.
Was hoping for some pointers on what to look for. Also topped trans fluid off just to make sure and shift linkage seems tight.

Every other gear is fine except 1st after I clutch in the second time which is why I'm scratching my head a bit on this one haha
well then it's probably the synchro/synchro hub. the only other thing i can tell you to do, take out the bitch pin and remove that linkage. strap it up so it doesn't drag on the ground, manually put in first gear. then you can launch/test drive and verify it's in the transmission. if it's an intermintent problem, good luck.
i recently had to replace the first/second synchro hub assembly on a jeep manual trans for the same concern.
