Greetings all!

Recently, I purchased a halo projector headlights for my 2007 honda civic. My mechanic successfully installed them however, he didn't replace the bulbs with white bright ones ( I'm looking at the sylvania silverstar ones ) . I was just wondering if anyone here would know which model will fit into the projector headlights and if it is SAFE to replace them with sylvania silvertar. Today I asked someone at NAPA parts store and he said the model is for the bulbs is H7 but isn't 100% sure.

Also, I'm looking forward to do a tune up and I was wondering if I should have my transmission oil changed and which oil is safe to put in. My car has 43K miles now and manual transmission.

your lights are High beam 9005(DRL) Low Beam 9006. Stick to factory honda transmission fluid, they have a new re-engineered formula, black with green label. i believe transmission may be red label not 100 %.

 

You won't need a tune up until 105k miles. Replace your MTF if it wasn't changed at 30k miles and always use Honda OEM fluids.

When installing the new headlights, did you reuse the original bulbs, or did the new headlights come with their own? Aftermarket headlights will sometimes come with different types/sizes of bulbs, so getting the type of bulb that the OEM headlights come with wouldn't help you with the new headlights.
