Default A few little swap problems (JDM B18c into EK)...HELP

JDM ITR into 99 EK.

Where does this little outlet connect to?

What goes in that plug hole? This plug doesn't fit. I'm using a 99-00 Si harness. Should I change that plug to the one on my JDM harness?

...or should I extend this one and change the plug on it..? The wires on this plug match the ones that are on the JDM harness that plugged into the hole.

Heres how it all looks from up higher.

HELP ME PLEASE. I gotta get this running tomarrow.

jeeze it's hard toget help when you need it.

The outlet has something to do with cruis control..so I'm not worried about that.

But the plug....

OK. There are only 3 vacuum lines that need to be connected:

PCV
EVAP solenoid
FPR

FPR - check
EVAP - ?
PCV - should be connected by a larger hose with a hose clamp....so it's probably not the PCV

I'm guessing EVAP solenoid. The EVAP solenoid is behind and above the throttle body.

...nevermind....I have no clue where the EVAP solenoid is on that motor.

That second sensor in the number 2 intake runner is probably the IAT (intake air temp) sensor.

A '99-'00 Civic Si has its IAT sensor in the rubber intake tube, not on the manifold like the B18 motors.

I'm not sure what that connector coming off of the injector wiring harness is for...yet.

Can you take another pic of that 3rd connector? I think it might be for teh MAP sensor.

Hey that makes sense.. because the one I'm holding up in the 3rd pic is the one that would connect on the intake tube on the Si. I'm looking at my girlfriends 2000 Si and that's where it goes. I guess I just need to change the plug on it and connect it to the hole. Then I will have no clue where the one by the injectors goes too...

Thanks for the help. More is appreciated!

OK, I follow the picture scheme now.

In that case, the connector in teh 2nd pic might be teh MAP sensor. Is your MAP sensor even connected? -in the pic, it looks like it's not.

Look fort the MAP sensor on her Si, and see if that corresponds to that 2nd pic's connector.

Also, check the back of the distributor for any empty connectors. Could possibly be for one of teh CYP, CKP, or one of those type sensors.

the second pic is the connector on the Si harness for the EVAP solenoid. The Si's have them on the fuel rail, but your b18c-r doesn't. I pulled the evap solenoid off my wrecked 2000 ITR firewall, and extended the wiring on the Si harness. If you're running an obd1 ECU don't even sweat it, 'cause it won't throw a code. if you're obd2, then you definitely need to hook it up.

what year is your EK?
nevermind, just found it.

Where is that plug you are showing come off of your engine harness? Is in next to the large power wire that goes to the fuse box next to the battery?

If it is, that plug is for the EVAP canister.

But that also looks like the IAT sensor plug. You can extend that, then change the plug on it and put it to the sensor in the intake manifold, or you can just use the plug in IAT sensor from your car in the intake tube.

Please tell me you have a helms for your car?

Yah I have a helms, but not for the engine.

The one I am holding on the JDM harness is the plug that goes into the hole on the intake runner of the R.

I think you answered it here..

But that also looks like the IAT sensor plug. You can extend that, then change the plug on it and put it to the sensor in the intake manifold, or you can just use the plug in IAT sensor from your car in the intake tube.
It is the IAT.

It has the same colored wires of the plug I am holding up on the JDM harness. And THAT is the one that fits into the hole. So... I think you're right. Wires match, so it should work...

if its important
it will throw a code
not the best method
but it WILL work.

Good idea.. I might do that after I mess around with it for a while.
