will a 99-00 civic si harness plug and play into a 2001 JDM TYPE R ECU?

I thought all JDM ECU's are obd2a but i could be wrong. Are you able to look where the plugs go in? obd2a has plug in, plug in, space, plug in while obd2b has plug in, plug in, plug in, space. Hope that makes sense
