Default 92 civic cx Tach install=Dead car

Ok, so i purchased a sunpro tach 2 , I hooked all the wires up and tested it out, i originally got the tach reading from the tach test wire that is on the drivers side by the fire wall, it did not seem very accurate so i decided to shut off the car and rewire the tach reading wire to the negitave side of the distributor(blue wire). when i tried to turn over the car... nothing ... did not even try to crank over just a single click. I am stumped I am guessing it could possibly be a fuse , but my fuse cover with the diagram is missing and cannot find a diagram on the web. Has anyone encountered this before? Any suggestions for troubleshooting would be appreciated. thanks
