I'll go with: Testpipe is misused, as it should refer to the piece of pipe that replaces the cat, and has a sensor to take exhaust gas temps.
Straightpipe, would be the piece of pipe used to replace cat, and then extend
rearward to either the muffling pieces, or no muffling pieces.

straight pipe would be exhaust tubing from the collector, to the back of the car to a "tip". No muffler, no cat, no resonator.
A test pipe replaces the cat.
