Default Straight Pipe or High Flow Cat

Recently replaced a resonator on my car. It seems like it hurt the performance and my car sounds like it has a stock exhaust now. I want to change it, so what do you guys think? High flow cat or straight pipe? Is a straight pipe really, really loud? Thanks.

i have a straight pip,jdm 4-1 and type R exhaust and to be honest with you it is not loud at all..only when you mash on it. The smell of a test pipe isnt very bad either as long as your not sitting at a light for too long. If you want to protect the environment and pass emission get a cat but if you dont give a damn about anything except making hp then get a test pipe.
