no longer than 1 hour ago this happened.. my hood is screwed and will need a new one. im hoping that someone on here and help me out with buying a new one. im pretty sure thats as far as the damamge goes other than one headlight..

sorry i didnt resize but you understand what i am dealing with here..i have to say that it was crazy watching that deer fly about 20 to 30ft into the air (i hit it going 55mph)

im hoping someone knows where i can buy a hood that same color (ill take better pics tomorrow) i am also hoping that nothing else is damaged under the hood. i have not cared to go that far since i am so mad about it right now. after this post i am going to sleep

 

At least it didn't go through the windshield/you. Hit up a junkyard/Craigslist and have it color matched. Another option is to splurge and buy a cf hood just cause hah, sorry for your misfortunes but the hood is replaceable, your health/life isn't

you are right about this.. i think the shape of the car plus the shape of the deer helped avoid the deer coming through the windshield..

 

That is frustrating, but in perspective if the hood was all that was damaged, that is pretty good. I feel your pain though, I've hit baby deer in my old CRX (on the freeway doing about 65mph and it spun me out), and also one with my 'lude (dented fender and broken sideview mirror). As mentioned, check Craigslist and local junkyard. Hoods I suspect routinely pop up on eBay and here (although you'll pay for shipping) from people swapping out for CF hoods. The color code for your car is on the driver's door jamb; check it with the donor vehicle to get a match.

 

i am a honda tech and i know i get honda parts cheap + paint... ill have updates tomorrow as to how bad the damage is. i know its not leaking anything but the hood wont open so that should be fun

First place i would say is your TRUSTY NEIGHBORHOOD autoparts store...wait...JUNKYARD first, then autoparts store...maybe a friend who knows another friend that MIGHT just have a prelude of your choosing!!!!!

 

I was able to get the radiator support in sections so I only got the parts I needed ($80)

Now I'm looking for ahood.. I would rather be cheap and find one that is alrwady painted silver or a oem carbon fiber
