Default Fuse Box and battery relocation

I know there is alot of threads out there but im placing my fuse box in glove department and battery in truck.. what to people do with the alternator wire that goes in the fuse box do they just extend that wire and pass it thru the engine harness but then each time i wanna take my harness out il have to remove it and pull the wire and then back in after. and for the starter wire can I just have 2 wires coming out of the starter?
