Default oil and draining for a borg warner s360

so i have a borg warner s360 that i will be using and i was talking to a friend of mine and he mentioned(while i was picking up some screws for the drain fitting at lowes) about how some turbos use oil jets because if you feed it(the turbo) too much oil it will mess it up. and if you starve it, it will mess up. i already had a fitting that came on the turbo when i bought it and was wanting to know if it would work. i got a few pictures as well to give you a better picture

oil feed^

the inside of the oil feed. there is also another small oil port there as well. which i was assuming was the oil control orifice or something of that nature.

thats the fitting that came on the turbo. this turbo has never EVER been ran. just mocked up.

another question i had was if this is ok as in terms of an angle to run the turbo

as well as running the drain from here........

down to here........

ending up there

thanks for all who can answer my question(s)!

You should run the turbo in a upright position like in the first position.

For the feed usually only ball bearing turbos require a restrictor, you could make a 5 min call to borg warner and they'll give you the required information. On the return you want to make the return point as straight down as possible, since it works off gravity, and run 10an line.

You want to keep the drain flowing but not drain too much out at once. This why you want to stay with the -10AN.

As for the feed, that is the British Pipe thread style that comes with Borg-Warner box units like the S360 non-extended tips. You want to get the A80 Weldon 1/4NPT fitting found at Home Depot and not what was included with the turbo for any Honda.

Dependent on fuel pressure, not just -AN size

Also, OP, DO NOT USE A 90* Bend on that return line. that will cause an oil backup issue. Only use a 45* please.
