Before I put everything back into my car, I tested everything, and the brake lights were working properly.
Issue is, when I turn my lights on, my brakes lights are lit up. High mount is not. High mount doesn't light up when brake is depressed either.
I have a 92 Civic (Non Cruise Control)
Using a 93 Civic Si Main Harness w/cruise control
I do not have cruise control
Swapped brake switch from 4 (Cruise) wire plug to 2 wire plug (non cruise). I have White/Green on top, and black on bottom. The third wire is Blue/Red. I have constant power from W/G to B, and from B/R to B. I swapped the W/G with the B/R, and when I would hit the brakes, my horn would go on, but brakes lights remained lit up. I have replaced the fuse 5 times, but everytime I hit the brakes, they blow. I can't find any bare wires either.
I'm gonna remove the brake light switch from my other civic and see if it changes. But if you guys have any ideas, please let me know. I don't want to rip apart my car again

there is a plastic piece that falls off causing it to o that. ive seen it happen on an accord and on a ram i used to have. if u put washers or get that piece from the stealership then it will go away

check and make sure the correct bulbs are installed also check your fuses make sure none are blown. if that dont work wait are these aftermarket taillamps. anyways if they are check conectors and for any blown bulbs sometimes one blown exterior can cause a circut to stay open or closed causing this to happen if that dont work you could have a faulty switch that turns on the headlights let me know if none of this works
i have the same issue, except when i have my lights off and hit the brakes my instument cluster, corner lights, and side markers light up. ive checked all bulbs and fuses, and switch all are fine. idk what to do, this is how i got the car
I had a 93 Del Sol that the cigarette lighter wires had melted the insulation. It shorted out with a few other circuits. I had to unwrap and replace the whole run. Pull the lighter socket and check the connectors for signs of overheating.

all lights are correct, high mount bulb is fine. My service manual says the wires coming from the brake light switch are suppose to be green/white, and white/green. Mine are white/green, black/white, and a blue/red thats taped to the side, which i found out is for the horn.
