Which is best oil should i put on Jdm b16a??? This is my.first.time swap to on eg6. I just need your help to give me any ideas before I going.change oil. Thank you so much
Any conventional oil would work great, no need for synthetic. This engine was designed 20 years ago before synthetics were main stream, it worked fine with conventional then, it will work fine now.
No use in spending $35+ for an oil change on a Civic.

as long as its 5w-30 is doesn't matter, I use M1 because I don't mind the little extra $ on it I will see if its helped any in week or so when I do an oil change and send to blackstone labs for analysis, it been over 100k with my swap since the last time I had it tested will see what the report says. I have only ever used M1 in it
just a heads up, I wouldn't be surprised if this gets locked, so just use 5w-30 what ever kind you want and search this topic has really been beaten to death on HT

Use the oil recommended in the owner's manual (usually 5W-30). /thread
