Default My new upgrade...

Y8 IM.
I have a Y7

Wondering if I could clean the inside of the runners. They got carbon crap.
Also, would it be possible to smooth it out by sanding it? Thx.

don't waste your time trying to sand the inside. Get a can of carb cleaner or some gasloline. Either way will clean best without scrubbing the inside- which is near impossible

you are going to have to reuse your old throttle body from your y7. Don't worry, it is the same size as the y8. but you have to take off the throttle plate from the y8 and use it on the y7 to make your throttle linkage work correctly. Also, you are going to need to cut the tape off the back of the harness for the fuel injectors to extend them. you need to buy some longer coolant lines to extand a few of them. and get new gaskets from the dealer, like $12 for the intake mani, and $2 for the throttle body.

1" 120 grit flapper wheel to smooth out the casting lines in the intake runners.

No need to hog out the runners, just smooth out the rough castings.
