Default Suspension question.

Just looking for a mild drop on the R, nothing too low. I'm probably going with the Eibach pro kit and still using the OEM shocks, I know that I dont need a camber kit, and was wondering if a simple alignment is okay after lowering the car?

Yes just get an alignment and your good to go. No need for camber craps

Speaking from experience here, I installed a a Pro Kit many years ago on the stock ITR shocks. I Remember a lot of GSR owners used them and liked the drop they gave but the ITR is already lower than the GSR from the factory. When I put the Pro Kit spring on my R it didn't lower it any at all but I did like the way they rode and the feel they gave. Just a bit stiffer than stock, not too much though.
I suggest if your just looking to lower and keep a decent ride get the Skunk2 springs with the 2" drop. That's what I put on my R last and they don't ride super stiff either.
And like the poster before me said, save your $$ on a camber kit.

I know the drop with the Eibach's on an ITR is about 0.8" back and front and that's fine with me. 2" is just a little too low for me on the streets around here. I actually have some Neuspeed springs that were on the car when I bought it, but I took them off because of the impracticality of having the car too low, so the little drop that the Eibach's give would probably be just fine.

All you will need is a toe alignment. The Eibach Pro Kit is good but you may only see about 0.25" of lowering. The Sportline kit is similar in spring rate but will lower the ITR about 0.5 inches.

The Eibach website says differently...but I will take your word for it, I suppose the website is incorrect. Good to know because I want more than a 0.25' drop, 0.5' is good

More worried about the drop in front...do u know approximately what the sportline drop is up front

Personally, I'd focus more on springrate than how much a spring will lower your car. I think you'll find that many aftermarket springs (if not all) have inferior springrates to the OEM ITR springs. The OEM ITR springrates balance the car *very* good. Aftermarket...not so much.

Why not just get a set of Koni yellows and set them on the lowest perch setting? You get a lowered car on OEM springs with superior shocks. It's a win-win-win.

I hate to throw this out there, but lowering the car just for the sake of lowering it is kinda ricey. Especially when you put inferior aftermarket springs on OEM shocks.

I don't remember the exact number, but if you do a search we've talked about this at length.

It is noticable, though. And you retain all of your suspension travel and the quality OEM springs.

I've been reading and reading..lol. I wanted to see a pic so I made another post, but I'm browsing all over the net, it's just hard to see some pics from my work computer...but thanks for the advice!

There was a thread about 1-2 years ago that had several pics in it. I know that doesn't help much, but we have went into detail about the setup before.

Also, I've seen a few in person (and drove them) and came away impressed.

i got em on koni yellow and they're awesome, not too low and not too stiff. Its my daily ride in the summer and after 5 years on them i still don't have a ding on my header (4-2-1 2.5'')

Why not get adjustable height sleeves, ie ground control sleeves and the springs rates of your choice?

This is what I'll be doing, I have g/c w KGB's on my accord, I like the g/c but with koni yellow for the R

I have gc's with custom valved bilsteins on my racecar. I do highly recommend giving them a try, the mono-tube design and valving are fantastic. They're also very affordable.
