Default 92 Accord Master/Slave Cylinder Replacement Questions

First time poster here...I'm planning on replacing my master and slave cylinders for the first time next weekend. I have a few questions for the experts here..

1. Looking at the Master Cylinder, what's the purpose of the allen head screw? Threaded hole with red cap goes to my pressurized hydraulic system and fitting in the back with cap goes to the reservior - correct? See pic
2. Hydraulic clutch system only has (1) bleeder valve - correct? This is brass fitting on the slave cylinder? (no pic)
3. What bleeding method do you prefer? Old fashion style (pump clutch and open/close bleeder valve OR using a nifty tool such as the Cardone syringe bleeder? Not sure if I'll have help so the tool may be a better option for me?
4. Is it recommended to replace both Master and Slave at same time?
5. What kind of fluid is recommended? Some say DOT 3 others say DOT 4?? I don't have a straight answer. I'm not sure what I currently have in the system now; I'd imagine it's probably DOT 3.

Thoughs??

After reviewing a ton of resources on the web, I think I know know what I need to do and ready to tackle this!

Thanks!

Default Re: 92 Accord Master/Slave Cylinder Replacement Questions

Allen head screw is most likely to just fill a hole left over from casting.

DOT3 fluid is fine.

Replace whatever is leaking. Normally if the salve cylinder is leaking and the master cylinder is ok I just replace the slave cylinder. If you're replacing the master cylinder the slave is cheap enough that's probably not a bad idea to do both. Buy good quality parts though (Nissin/Adler is preferable) or you'll be doing the same job again in the near future.
