Default Ball Joint (Upper)

I know that the upper ball joint in together with the control arm. buy Can you just replace the ball joint? with out buying a new control arm.
Car: 1997 Accord Lx V6

yes u can just replace the balljoint. it is pressed in so u can have a shop depress the old one and press in the new one or you could just do it your self

if you replace the whole arm, you will also have new mount bushings and you can have it repaired in about 10 minutes. just don't spend the same on a ball joint and press labor as you would on a new arm, then keep old mount bushings. you have to take the whole arm off the car anyway to take it to a press unless you want to try pressing it with the arm on.
