So I just took out the HID kit on my civic and put the stock headlight set up, but the right side is super dim. At first I thought it might be the contacts were on wrong and i had reversed the polarity, but it wasnt that. I switched bulbs from the left side but issue remains, highbeams are the same issue. Any idea whats causing this??

 

Have you checked for a short? I just finished my motor swap and my drivers side is really dim for both low beam and high beam. I have a feeling it some how shorted against the turn signal wire because when my lights are on, the left turn indicator is lit up a bit and the front turn signal doesn't work when the lights are on.

Googled the quest and I found a blog and they said try the ground. So I rigged a cable and connected to ground on bulb and BINGO. Just FYI in case it ever happens to any off you. Thx again for the tips and help.

 

I was just coming to say it was the ground that fixed mine as well.
