I have a EG Si Hatch 92 to be exact. I'm swapping in a GSR to it. Came with a D16z6 ( Stock motor ) I'm wondering if the wiring harnesses and **** would be just plug and play? I've never done a swap, and I'm just wondering what it would take to wire up the motor?

Is it possible to just get the engine harness from the GSR and plug it into the EG? I'm completely lost when it comes to wiring up a motor.

 

you can use it i believe, just have to run a jumper dependin on what year gsr your running and also run wires for the vtec syl. when i swapped my type r in my ek i ordered a whole new harness from rywire, kinda pricey but beets a 13 yr old harness and works like a champ

 

You already have vtec wired. Depending on if you are using stock intake manifold, you need to wire IAB, and knock sensor. You don't need any kind of jumper. Just get the engine harness that pertains to the motor. If you have obd1 motor get obd1 engine harness, obd2 motor- obd2 engine harness. It is a super easy swap!!! I literally had two repin two wires(knock sensor and O2 wire) since I have a VX chassis and using a aftermarket intake manifold and the rest was drop in, plug and play!!

You can use the same d16z6 mounts but you need the gsr t bracket and everything should just plug back in easy.
