Default Hatchback trunk pre-wired for speakers?

I was wondering if my DX has wires ready in the back to hook up a speaker to, as in the truck. If not I would have to wire the speaker cable under the carpet, no problem, except I was wondering since I have no experience in wiring speakers up, where and how would I connect the other end of the speaker cables. DIY would be helpful.

Please don't move, Audio section is dead -.-

A speaker in the trunk as in a subwoofer, or as in two normal, stock replacement rear speakers? Also, what year and body? Yes, it does matter.

They're all wired for rear speakers, if it's for a '92 - '95 the wiring is down below the blank filler pieces in the back around the seat, you have to replace them with a version that has the speaker grilles and buy the mounting brackets. '96 - '00 already have the grilles and don't require any additional mounting brackets.

I did mine not too long ago. It should be there but I will say that mine were taped outta the way from the factory so you may not see/feel them immediately (they were almost hidden). After I grabbed them, I pulled them up and saw the tape. I removed the tape and plugged in my factory speakers I bought and they immediately came to life.

PS this was in a 94 Civic CX

Check the honda parts site for an Si model. If any has it, it would be that.

Alternatively, I made a different cargo cover and put my speakers in that. Also I could fit 6x9s in. Why 6x9s? I got them cheap, and I didn't have a cargo cover to begin with.

I put 6x9s from my old accord in the space and zip tied them in. They are sturdy and the panel fits over them flush! I'm not using the grill panels so sound quality is lost but I don't care it's better than just two 6.5s in the front.

'94 - '95 Si. You could get rear speakers as an option on any trim level though.
