What state are you located in? If it's calfornia, you have to carb approved intake= $$$

Any other state you can simply build your own and buy a tube and a quality filter. Or just buy an ebay intake, toss the filter and put a good filter on.

Unfortunately I'm located in cali and had to fork out the cash.

^This. That's what i did. Cost me $70 in the end, more then half the cost of brand name intakes for the same performance.

Just a tad because cold air is denser, but seriously there will be absolutely no gains without tuning. Even more importantly: what build do you have right now and what are your plans in the future. You wont need that intake if you want to go FI.

My car is slammed pretty low too, just avoid gigantic puddles, my cai in fine.

You have two options depending on what you want to do in the future.

Buy a stock intake and swap out every 2 years for smog (Cheaper option)

Or

Buy a carb legal intake (expensive option)

CAI is not necessary and get away from needing something "name" brand. Are you looking for kudos from your buddies or something? Bling points if you will. All you need is a 3" short ram pipe, v-stack, filter of choice. That is the best set-up for n/a b-series.

Dont waste the money for a whales ***** "power chamber" haha...had one on a b16a and just not worth it.
