Couple of friends of mine had a similar issues, turned out to be the o2. One was running a one wire o2 and needed a four wire. Other friend of mine had a fuel delivery issue, might be worth looking into let us know what your end result is

I've been told depending on the version of the ecu some auto's wont allow your to rev past a certain rpm if it thinks its in park.

IAC is now hooked up?
Figure out what the injector issue was? (that might be the problem there - might be in limp mode).

Seems you wrote "ecu" as a cel as well??
What is the code numbers you were getting?

hey all . i have a 90 EF with a dpfi and would like to convert to mpfi . is this an easy swap ? has anybody done it . because i am aware that this car was made only for fuel economy but i would like to make a little faster . and my plans are throttle body, intake manifold, intake and headers . but i was told that with the dpfi it wont add much if any HP with these without the swap.

Hook everything up.
Disconnect ECU for a few minutes (to clear all codes).
Reconnect ECU and try it again.
Check for CEL and post all the numbers you get.

yes it will especially with aftermarket intake or a d16y8 manifold not a 99-00 on though it will not work
