IAC is now hooked up?
Figure out what the injector issue was? (that might be the problem there - might be in limp mode).
Seems you wrote "ecu" as a cel as well??

hey all . i have a 90 EF with a dpfi and would like to convert to mpfi . is this an easy swap ? has anybody done it . because i am aware that this car was made only for fuel economy but i would like to make a little faster . and my plans are throttle body, intake manifold, intake and headers . but i was told that with the dpfi it wont add much if any HP with these without the swap.
Hook everything up.
Disconnect ECU for a few minutes (to clear all codes).
Reconnect ECU and try it again.
Check for CEL and post all the numbers you get.
