Default OBX 4-2-1 header

Does someone here have experience of OBX-R SS header in Integra Type R?

How are they for lowered Integra Type R?

Are they build exactly alike stock exhaust manifold ?

How is the ground clearance?

Thanks.

Given your recent thread, what's your budget when it comes to a replacement header?

Bang for the buck, honestly would be a JDM 4-1 header.

I had an OBX header that came wth my EM1. I swapped in a B18C-R and the header probably robbed power as compared to a stock ITR manifold. Garbage.

I have a RMF replica on my R right now. Feels like it makes a ton of midrange and top end. Feels like more power down low also. It was $250 shipped with a test pipe. I used the test pipe flanges and had a HFC made to avoid all the buzz and smell involved with a test pipe.

Including making a new cat, it was $350-400ish. Not bad. The JDM 98+ spec header is around $300-350, IIRC.

all true, a friend of mine back to backed one of these versus a 97 spec jdm cast manifold and ran 2 tenths quicker in the 1/4 mile with the stock itr manifold

if the op wants to be cheap, buy my upper half, order a lower pipe from HMO and spend under 200 all said and done with new gaskets for an oem piece that works

or, spend 300-350 on a 98+ header which is slightly better and at least 10lbs lighter

The obx header gives off the subaru noise as well.

i've seen these at importers around the cost of a 98+ header, they even look similar. any real difference? ever back to back dyno one vs a stock R ?

Hey mate, what exhaust are you running? Does the RMF Header give off a tinny sound?

I have the stock ITR exhaust. The header sounds about as raspy as any other header. Thin tube manifolds sound like a lot of ticking. The buzzing increased a tiny bit...but it sounds really good. Like a gritty noise. I like it a lot.
