my knock sensor broke on my b16a. i am wondering if i can use one off my old stock b18a1 or what ones i can use,
i also heard i can get a p28 chipped w/ the b16a basemaps cause they dont have knock sensors, is this safe? and more cost affective?
i have a obd1 gsr ecu right now, thats chipped with idk what for sure, cause i got the car like that, but i am not throwing a code for the knock either, and its hella broken,

 

no one can tell me what tools i need to remove the sensor?

 

27mm socket, I would replace it as you don't need a new ECU

 

a lot of chipped ecu's disable the knock sensor since it's literally a piece of **** from the factory. the b series vtec knock sensors are near worthless mostly due to our having a solid valvetrain.
