Default Smelling fuel

98 V6, when I remove the gas cap there is no hiss like my Prelude did. My friends and I have also been smelling raw fuel when I stop, but not all the time and not overpowering, but very present. Enough to be of concern.

Still getting 22-24 mpg and GREAT power. Car is 100% stock.

Bueller?

Sounds like an EVAP problem in the tank. Should turn the check engine light on though. Run it for codes and see what it says.

My car reaks of gas esp. in rear and the code says EVAP CONTROL SYSTEM LEAKAGE (EVAP CANISTER AREA)...so I replaced gas cap first....what next? Is it dangerous?
