neptune vs. crome pro
I will be finishing up my Y8 build soon and after break in, I will be getting tuned at Innovative tuning in Buffalo,NY.
SC34 turbo, looking to make 350 - 400 whp on 93.
I know this will require some good tuning and probably 22+ psi, I'm ok with whatever I end up with, I know Innovative will do good tuning it, I just hope for 350+.
I'm not sure how the spool is going to be exactly, .63 a/r turbine T31, I'm thinking boost will start around 3000 rpm and full boost will come up around 4500-5000 rpm.
I plan to use a dual stage boost controller, stage 1 will be wastegate pressure of 11 psi, then stage 2 will be full on. I will use the lower for 1st and part of 2nd gear for traction.
Now on to the tuning: My plan was to use crome pro, the tune is $400 with it.
Using neptune is an extra $100, I do believe this would be neptune without demon? I think demon adds more $ to it right?
I was thinking with my turbo I may need anti-lag to get a good launch, what do you guys think?
Crome doesn't have anti=lag but neptune does.
I know the support for Neptune and the features are much better, the shop is able to achieve good results with either one though.
Other than having anti-lag (if I really even need it?) will using Neptune WITHOUT demon, still be better than using crome pro??
Budget is huge here, I know it's only $100, but tell that to my wife that is already pissed about how far over budget this build has gone lol.
I am still about $1000 short of finishing it up, so an extra $100 needs to be justified as it will mean I have to wait even longer to finish the car up.

Do you think anti lag will be needed to build boost for launches? Stock head & 8.5:1 c/r y8 with sc34 .60/57 trim, .63 stage 3 ........I also am debating if anti lag will be bad for the turbo?
ASH:
Yes antilag to build boost during 2 step launch control for a harder launch
93Turbo:
yeah I decided neptune is going to be the choice, worth the $100 from everything I have read, and with my low *** c/r I think I will need anti-lag....

If you have a Demon you can just buy the license for the software... or if you don't have a Demon for a nominal license fee you can take your setup to an authorized dealer and have it tuned on NepTune, as they're talking about here.
Which is what you're linking to... Says so right in the title of that page and in the product details.
Why is this still a question? Did you not read the 500 other threads about everyone recommending Neptune, or possibly the billion threads about issues with every other tuning platform? Be honest, you already knew the answer dude.
