Radiator support which welder?????
I usually weld thicker metal and have never welded on a car at all im trying to replace my radiator support because of front end damage and im wondering if i can get away with a flux core welder to fill up the holes im really not trying to buy a bottle of gas only to use it one time.
yes you can use a flux core welder to weld your core support..
although it will make it harder, if you ever have to replace a core support on the same car again.

^ I dont understand what your getting at, flux vs gas your still doing the exact same thing....welding a 8mm plug weld.
It depends on your welder I suppose. If your just trying to go to town with a cheap-o welder with no dial to adjust amperage, then it could suck. Personally I wouldn't flux it, but I suppose you "could"...although I have never mig welded with flux wire through a good welder.

I don't believe it is inteded/reccomended for use with shielding gas.
Note: I am NOT a professional welder, correct me if I'm wrong.
Yes you can use it without gas that's why its so cheap to buy one at harbor freight i weld 1" plate with fluxcore but we use about 25 psi of co2 to get more penetration that's why i asked i didn't want to bust out my buddys fluxcore with no gas and burn up my new rad support but i guess you can weld thin stuff with it too.

Ok good to know thanks to anyone who answered i don't really care about the looks as long as it will hold and not fall 2 feet down the road (If you don't think that it will hold please let me know why ive never welded on a car period and don't want to mess this up)
yes it will hold up using a mig welder, using flux core.
no gas needed..
I have done two core supports and a sun roof/moon roof. mig welding without gas. NO problems at all..
I stated that i would just be difficult to remove the new core support if it were to be replaced again at a later date. but as long as your welds are structuraly sounds, you should have no issues with it falling off.
