Ok i have a turbo kit with a 4 bolt downpipe but i don't have the turbo. I am going to buy a turbo but before i do i want to make sure my 4 bolt downpipe will fit on any 4 bolt style turbo. Does ant one know if all 4 bolt patterns are the same?

 

no not all 4 bolts are the same. one may be 2.5" and another at 3" for the dp. just make sure whatever size your exhaust housing is matches your dp size. thats the only difference.

 

Ok, what's the smallest turbo with a 3in exhaust housing. I'm asking because is going on adx turbo just for gun until i get my b series done. Can i run a 3in downpipe on a 2.5 exhaust housing, because i don't want to buy a new dp.

 

There are 2 Garrett 4 bolts. The standard one is the T31 2.5" 4 bolt housing. Garrett, Precsion, Turbonetics, Comp Turbo, all use this, even for their 3" downpipes.

The only true 3" 4 bolt is the GT 3", which only comes on GT-R series ball-bearing turbochargers from Garrett

Yes you are right i have a 2.5 flange but the piping is 3. What will be ideal size turbo for a single cam dx?

 

no one will be able to tell you the answer to that question without you telling us your power goals and the purpose of the car. if they attempt, then they dont know what the hell their talking about.

+1 to this...OP, don't get a cheaply made turbo. You can find a used OEM turbo for cheaper than that, and chances are it will last longer.
