Default Car shifts only when car is off...any idea? pls help!

I have a 95 turbo prelude jdm motor in my accord and car doesn't shift into gear, only when car is turned off. the master cylinder has been replaced when the brakes were changed out a few months earlier and i had no problems. 2 days b4 the car stop shifting it didnt shift into 1st gear then it instantly did. it was barely noticeable so i thought nothing of it until 2 days later it just wouldn't shift at all, only when the car is turned off. i am not a mechanic and usually have the work done at a shop unless it is a basic tuneup. If there is any ideas that anybody has or anything i can check or do myself without having to pay for a tow to shop to tell me its fluids. i would also like to buy the part online to save money instead of through the shop. Plz any help is appreciated...thx

I would think that you need to bleed the master cylinder. I had an issue on a car before; where I would push in the clutch and the pedal would just hit the ground, with no resistance. Ended up replacing both master and slave cylinders (though only the master had broken from too much air getting sucked in.)

Check under the hood; around the master cylinder to make sure it still has fluid or if there are any leaks around it.
