600RR Crank/No start
Wow. I haven't been on here in a while but I thought I'd seek a little bit of advice from the good folks here. So here's my dilemma:
2005 Honda 600RR
23k miles
Thing ran like a CHAMP before problem started
I accidentally left my key on the other day and obviously the battery was dead. (Been noticing battery was getting weaker and would be dead after key left on for 10 minutes or so). Push started and ran good. Rode short trip (5 minutes) and shut off again (obviously not enough time for battery to get charged) and would not start again. Tried push starting multiple times and would not start. Hooked jumper cables up and bike would turn over normally but still no start. I could not hear the fuel pump priming and I noticed headlights, tail/stop lamps, blinkers, horn, high beam indicator were all inop. So we checked the fuses and all were good. I loaded it up and got it to my garage, ordered and installed a new battery since I already knew mine was about junk.
After pursuing it a bit and finally finding a wiring diagram for it and printing off 8 pages and taping them together so I could read it I was able to get the bike to start and run with power supplied to Black/white @ fuel cut relay but still no headlights and other components. I'm a bit stumped at the moment. I'm going to go over the diagram some more and try to see what's causing this but in the meanwhile thought I'd turn to you guys and rattle your brains.
Here's a link to the owner's manual which includes the wiring diagram if you're interested in looking at it.
