I have 3inch downpipe
Thinking about just hooking up a 3inch glass pack then a little 3inch straight pipe
Then dump right after
What would be better as to sound not to loud that it sounds bad

 

You need to dump it out the back or side somewhere, my last build I did a 3" downpipe to a 3" resonator then about 2 ft of pipe and dumped it down under the car, it sounded good but the exhaust fumes were terrible.

 

I've never had a problem with 3" and a good turbo muffler

 

turbo mufflers, imo, have the best "sound", using a solo performance OE92 which is a smaller denser version of their stealth muffler, which is basically the same setup as a dynomax super turbo with much much more ceramic packing, it sounds good and has a nice note to it, but my god anything that you use that doesnt obstruct flow is LOUD to me. Other people say they would kill for the sound, i hate it.

 

anyone use magnaflow race series with tip? where the inlet is 3"...ie magnaflow 14835

 

well i hope it wont be extremely loud with my glass pack
