first i think somethings broken off here and i think that cable going to nothing is the cruise control but whats supposed to be here?


second whats this box thing? i think its some how connected to the intake tube.

 

Yes, there should be a round cable tray (black) for the first pic but it is broken.

For the second pic, it is the resonator.

 

ok are you sure thats just a resinator? its got vacum lines and plugs coming off it.

 

Top picture should look nearly identical to your throttle. You pull the cable and it sets it to a certain position.

Second is in fact just a resonator box. You can safely remove it if you are going to an aftermarket intake.
