9o civic hatch fan control switch
Good Morning Guys I need to locate the temp control switch that turns on my fan. The fan works, it just does not get activated. I will also be checking fuses and relays. I need to find the temp switch. Thats the only part I cant ID as of yet.
Its the 1.5 engine
Thx Toby

Anyone have a quickie procedure for getting at it and testing it in-situ? I suspect mine is also flaking out but I'd like to test it before committing to replacing it.
Edit: Figured it out; can only get to it from under the car. Jumped the circuited and turned the key to pos2.... fans spun normally. Verdict- bad switch? Will update when I can test both switches side by side.
Edit 2: Tested new and old switches by boiling them in super-salty water. The new switch held steady at 20-30Mohms for a few minutes then closed the circuit fully. The old switch fluctuated wildly between 10 and 40 Mohms before dropping to about 20 Kohms, never closing the circuit. Verdict: bad switch.
So I replaced the switch ($20), heated up the engine, and the fans switched on at their regularly scheduled time.
