Default Which NGK spark plugs are best?

For a stock 2000 EX. I just found out the shop the previous owner took it to put in Champion .

I was reading that the "V-Power Spark Plug; ZFR5F-11" are OEM.

I didn't see any mention of whether the "NGK Iridium IX Series; ZFR5FIX-11" or "NGK Laser Series Platinum Plug; PZFR5F-11" or "NGK G-Power Single Platinum; ZFR5FGP" might be better or worse. They are more expensive but if they yield better fuel economy it would be worth it.

Does anyone have any experience with these or recommendations?

Thanks.

Vpower are your best bang-for-your-buck as far as NGK plugs [just ordered 4 myself lol].

As far as what Honda recommends, snag a spark plug gap tool for $1 at autozone/ advanced auto parts and make sure your plugs are 0.044 gap before installing, thats the factory spec for gap. There is no specific style of plug recommended per Honda.

for the price, g-power plugs are outstanding. easily go 30-40k miles and only cost about 2.50 a plug.

I just replaced my G-Power plugs that were in for three years and a little over 40k and they looked pretty good.

I measured the gap and two of the four were still .44, one was a little smaller and one was about .50.

I never noticed a performance difference from V powers to G powers to ix's, save the money and get the v's.

Nothing wrong with iridium's, for the most part I never noticed a gain. ONe thing I am not crazy about iridium's that the electrode seems to build up more then the standard plug, over time that is unless you change them strictly at say 30k miles.

+1 on no difference.

I only got the IXs because they were cheaper than the G-Powers during the sale. If they were all regular price, I would have gone copper or G-Powers again.

It's super easy to do plug changes so long life plugs aren't entirely needed.

It's just a damn spark plug! God, I swear people take the easiest things and make it hard.

The only difernece is some plugs last longer.

A basic plug, (what Honda used) will run you $2.50. A iridium will last twice as long, but they are 2-3 times the price.
The best plug to put in it, is what Honda had in it!

The ix's are not rated for 100k.

There are a few plugs that are rated that long but those go for close to 12 bucks a plug.

I do not like keeping a plug in that long, more of a chance of it seizing up.

I have always used iridium plugs in all my cars and they have all lasted 100k +. I do notice less power after about 80k but not much.

Thanks for everyone's input. From the sound of it there is no significant/noticeable gain in using the more expensive plugs. It looks like the NGK V-Power Spark Plugs; ZFR5F-11 are the winner. Thanks again.
