Default Water Wetter... Does it really work?

Like the title says. If it does work, does anyone know the actual temp. drop that it gave?

yeah it works. I noticed my temp gauge remained cooler but that is the extent of it. Ive used that and VP Cool Down, both work as they say

I've used them. And I've used ordinary coolant. The difference is so minimal that I didn't even bother using water wetter or any other similar products, just didn't seem worth the money to me. I have a water temp gauge in my car, with sensor mounted at the top of the radiator, just before the piping that leads out of the radiator and into the engine, and I saw a 3°C difference. Do you think the extra money is really worth it? I don't. My car never overheats anyway because I have 4 fans on the radiator, and i've set a switch up so that they can be manually operated too

On my friend's car with a digital readout it made a 5 degree difference. I think its just soap with some anti-corrosive additives. Soap lowers water tension causing better heat transfer. It's mainly used by racers who are banned from using anti-freeze on track, but need an anti-corrosion additive to put into their distilled water. I've heard the type of soap used in industrial carpet cleaners might be the same.

I doubt it is a soap, but it is a surfacant(soap acts as one as well).

It definitely works, but not some amazing amount. Just slightly increases the heat handling capacity of your radiator.

It has the same properties as soap.
