Anyone ever did a comparison?
Between a BMW Z3 (2.8 M52B28 non TU specifically) and an S2000?
I currently own the former, buy may be selling it and buying the latter in a few months. I'd be looking at an AP1, probably a higher mileage 00' or 01'. If anyone has driven both and can account for the differences in handling, please leave you're feedback. I've driven my friends AP1 before, but the suspension, wheels, and tires aren't stock. The engine is relatively stock, however; it's making about 201 WHP, so I'm aware of the feel of a stock engine. It's the handling aspect I'm more concerned about. I'm hoping for a more stock-for-stock comparison, if anyone would be willing.
Thanks

The Z3 has way more ***** in the low end than the S2000. That's the one thing I hate about my S2...ball-less below +/- 6k rpm. Handling wise they're pretty much the same with (IMO) the S2 being "better." My next door neighbor had a Z3 and it was cool but I felt the steering was way heavier than my S2 and the "snappyness" wasn't as I thought it would be. I did end up buying an S2...if that's any indicator!

The handling and driving experience in the S2000 is better. The BMW is a much more of a grand touring car. More torque, MUCH more refinement, and more comfort.
If you want something ultimately faster (albeit harder to drive fast) and more fun and you're willing to sacrifice a lot of refinement to do it, then yes, the AP1 is your car.

I personally think the z3 looks super dated. However, I do like the m-coupe.
Drive both and figure out which one you like more. My brother is a technician for BMW and actually enjoys the way a z3 drives over a z4, so in the end it's going to come down to preference.
