1994 honda accord lx tachometer wire location?
does anyone know where the tachometer wire is located in a 1994 honda accord lx? if possible, can you include a picture. I have tried searching but nothing comes up.
Are you talking about where the tach wire gets its signal from the distributor/ICM, or the test hook up location.
Either way they're both blue wires.
Ill see if I can dig it up for ya.
Here is the actual location the tach gets its signal from on the ICM, which is inside the distributor, and the appropriate wiring schematic.
Again, the blue wire is what you're looking for.

Im just wanna make sure this is the blue wire that sends the signal to the tachometer before splicing into a wire that is not the correct one.
The wire is the all blue one right in the center of the picture correct?

Yes, the tachometer signal wire is on the 2P connector with the YEL/BLK wire.
Leave the 8P alone as it does have BLU/GRN and BLU/YEL wires on it but these are for your CKP sensor.
Why are you splicing into the tach wire?
The test lead location would be a much more suitable area to run an accessory off of as it is already "spliced" off the main line that runs to your tachometer.

I was giving a shift light and im trying to install it but was having trouble trying to get the tach signal wire. where is the test lead located?
Look for a rubber covered hookup at the end of one wire all by itself.
It kind of looks like an inline fuse with the cover on.
It is located near the passenger side strut tower near the main engine harness connections.
