Axle popped out
So, my buddy and I were putting on his coil overs and somehow the axle popped out and now the boot looks like this and the axle won't go all the way in. Can't figure out what to do now. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Replace the axle you broke the u-joint. Doesn't look like the axle has separated from the tranny. Can you take a picture that isn't as close and one from the top of the motor looking down. Take the larger clamp off and pull the boot back
You could probably wiggle it back together, but it will just be a matter of time before it messes up again. I would replace the axle. They are like $50-$90 from autozone and come with a lifetime warranty.
i think the bearings aren't lined up right maybe? we've been spinning the hub to try and line them up. the axle is in the tranny, it's just something in that boot
Yeah, it's the bearings inside. They are f'd.
Pry the axle out of the tranny with a screwdriver and you can probably get it to seat correctly. I would seriously just replace that axle though.

Am I missing something because I have never in my life hear of a axle having bearings. The axles has two u-joints which are in the rubber boot filled with grease. These allow the axle to move laterally with the suspension and not bind.
I've had my axle pop out on me while doing my trans , sometimes its a hit or miss for getting those ****ers popped back in. Take the axle out and try and line up the joints inside. A lot of wiggling and some turning and it will go in. Seeing as it popped out with just pulling it out it shouldn't be broken. It takes time good luck.
Exactly. There's nothing wrong with the axle that requires replacement. If you're not careful when pulling front knuckles it's really easy to have this happen to you.
Just rip of the inner boot clamp, put the bearing plates back where they go, put a new clamp on the boot and move on with life.
Nothing is broken. Imagine like you dislocated your shoulder, doctor pops it back and you go on about your life.

You're missing something. The inner joint has 3 bearings on the tripod/trilium/triple tree.
They don't have U-joints, they outer end is a constant velocity joint, I'm not sure exactly what the inner joint is called but it's not a U-joint either.

You're doing something wrong then. I've put lots of them back together, no issues. Besides that there's no reason for there to be any issues if you understand how the inner joint goes together.
