B20 question/theory
I'm buying a high compression B20 tomorrow for my project Civic and I'm getting my list together and trying to configure my power route. I'm gonna be getting a P75 to start out with and my friend is letting me buy his P8R head. But my question is this, I have some eagle rods that are for my ZC.....and I've read people with D series motors that are turbo'd will put in LS rods to lower the stroke a tad. So that means I can throw my eagle D series rods in the B20 to up the stroke a tid bit right? Maybe it's just late and I'm wishing too much but please correct me if I'm wrong.
And I understand that I'll have to make sure that the pistons don't hit the valves, but if my theory is correct I'll boost my compression up a little right? ......I was hoping someone had tried it before.
Well from the searching I've done I couldn't get a definite answer on which B20 the P8R came on but I looked at about eight B20's yesterday at this import motor place next to my shop and from what I found all the high compression B20's had P75 heads and the lows had either P75 or P8R. And no, no race fuel......tune it on high octane if necessary.
