gsr swapped eg6 running rich and dies at WOT
Hello people i got an eg that has a gsr swap. I put a new headgasket in and ran a compression test. 180psi all across! Its all stock except for a hondata intake mani gasket. Its running really rich and sounds horrible. It can rev to 4k rpm only n then bounce back. When you put it to wide open throttle it cuts out. ECU is a stock p72! I havent connected the knock sensor yet either, will this make it run like this? Any input would help thanks
my timing on the crank pully is good......white notch is at the pointer and the cam gears are up and the dash marks are pointing at each other. No visible vacuum hose leaks n no check engine lights.

what i do to find vacuum leaks is i spray carb cleaner all around the engine. all over the hoses. throttle body. intake gasket. injectors. etc. that's how i do it. and its very effective. another thing it could be is that a injector or more are stuck open. also another thing could be a bad fuel pressure regulator. and since you say it cuts at wot i would look at spark. your spark might be weak not strong enough to burn the fuel at wot. or bad spark plugs. good luck
I ran the knock sensor wire today but still the same. Checked for leaks with the carb cleaner, and tested a different dizzy! Its still doing the same thing its so frustrating. Everything was working before i took the head apart. Anymore ideas?

no knock sensor might put it in limp mode,
and if cam sensor is bad or not hooked up the ecu will use the crank sensor for feedback,
its called redundancy as a cam sensor is not mission critical
but with these not functioning properly dont expect the car to run to its potential or proper. ie limp mode.
I found the problem......it was just a simple overlooked mistake! i freaken switched the MAP n TPS connectors lol! I tried swapping it before but forgot to clear the ecu....rookie mistake! Thanks everyone for their inputs...most def. learned a lot.
aahh how did i forget about that. you said your idle was bad as well right?
