I'm actually trying to do a calculation on the life of ATF (DW-1 or Z1 don't matter). Not trying to prove anything, just for my FYI and madness.

Can you offer an estimate on how long the ATF will last in a (Honda) car in terms of miles driven?

Start with 100% is fresh factory new 0 miles.

Even if you offer a partial answer, it will still be helpful. I can average and reverse calculate it out. So more replies, the better. TIA.

Note: This is not a question on how often one should change it, or any type of maintenance schedule.

Well there are a lot of factors that vary

Driving style?
Average miles per day?
Average temps?
Average trans temps
Type of Vehicle/Trans?
External cooler?

Those things will affect the life of ATF. Maybe you should try it and find out. Let us all know

It depends on what your definition of worn out is. I know there are fifth gen civics and 4th gen accords out there that have never had the fluid changed and they're still going, but I can't say I'd recommend you try it.

I can't try that because I already changed my ATF. Again, this is not my plan for automotive maintenance.

It's a math calculation I'm trying to make.

It is fair to say 60,000 is the life expectancy of ATF? Throw me a bone. Agree or disagree? You guys can make a better guess than I. I'll take that as credibility for my calculation.
