Default transmission fluid

how often are you supposed to replace this? is it an envolved task? I havent replaced mine for 80,000 miles, but that's only because i havent been told to by the dealer.

Honda usually tells you when your car needs to be serviced and what needs to be done. So since im going to be putting in new tranny fluid, what type should i use? Does the GM SyncroMesh work well with non LSD trannies? or should i just stick with OEM Honda fluid?

Unless your transmission feels like **** or grinds, then honda MTF is fine.

The severe schedule shows changing your trans fluid every 30k, and most people on this site should be following this interval. I dont know where people get this honda says 15k crap.

I have an 00 Si so like all other Si trannies my 2nd gear has a clunk to it every once and a while. Should i still use honda MTF, or maybe try out the GM SyncroMesh?

If your going to use the SyncroMesh make sure to get Friction Modified.

I was looking at my Haynes manual and it says for my civic i should use 1.9 quarts of tranny fluid, but the integra uses 2.3 quarts. Does anyone know which amount is for my B16 Si? I dont see why a B18C would use more than my civic.
