code 17-speed sensor?

Default code 17-speed sensor?

I'm getting a code 17 which is a speed sensor code...but everything is hooked up fine,even my feilds vtec controller digital speedo is working fine, so whats the problem here?

where is your fields reading speed signal from ? did you by any chance cut the signal to the ecu to hook up to he fields or did you just tap into it ?

btw, for the 88-91 crx and 1st gen integras, the signal is read from the instrument cluster where the speedo cable form tranny drives the sensor int he cluster to produce an electronic speed signal.

Well the spped sensor code only recently came up but I have had the feilds for a couple of months.

You HAVE to cut the SS wire as it runs into the feilds from the ecu then back to wherever from the feilds.

Is there a sensor in the cluster?
